Eric S. Sheidlower
Mr. Sheidlower currently oversees both the firm''s Bankruptcy and Real Estate Owned (REO) Departments.
Mr. Sheidlower brings twenty (20) years of legal experience in the areas of foreclosure litigation, bankruptcy, REO closings, and eviction. For twelve (12) years, from 1995 through 2007, Mr. Sheidlower was a partner in the Carle Place, New York law firm of Stein & Sheidlower, L.L.P., where he supervised the Bankruptcy Department as well as overseeing various aspects of the Foreclosure Department. With Mr. Sheidlower as partner, Stein & Sheidlower, L.L.P. became the senior FreddieMac designated law firm in New York State, the only one of the original three firms to remain.
After graduating Lafayette College and Albany Law School, Mr. Sheidlower was admitted to the New York State bar in 1987 and became associated with the law firm of Zwerling, Schachter & Zwerling for one year before joining the Law Offices of Howard H. Stein.
Mr. Sheidlower has lectured extensively to the staffs of banks, mortgage servicing companies, and outsourcers throughout the country on important topics in foreclosure and bankruptcy.
Mr. Sheidlower remains active in co-op law, as he continues to serve as an elected member of a cooperative board for more than ten (10) years. He has also been active in the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), the American Legal & Financial Network (AFN), the New York State Bar Association, and the Nassau County Bar Association.
